A pay per click company is a specialised agency that offers the rapidly growing pay per click advertising services, which many companies increasingly rely on to market their goods and services to the public.

Due to the rising popularity of the service, there are hundreds of companies out there hoping to take advantage of it and not all of them have the experience or skills to support a sustainable pay per click campaign. How would you know which company to choose?

It always worth asking pay per click agencies how much money they spend on pay per click advertising their own website. If the answer is not much money it may tekk you that they arent confident in using their own services to market themselves.

What Problems Are Associated with Pay Per Click Companies?

Business is war, as the Japanese say. Most agencies offering pay per click services are actually web design or broader marketing companies who don’t have the hands on experience or know how to produce effective campaigns. Traditional media buying is quite easy by comparison. You decide a budget, produce a creative and submit it to the appropriate advertising provider, be it newspaper, magazine or radio. Pay per click is much more complicated than this. The plethora of variables and features that Google Adwords provide the advertiser with are actually tools to make the PPC campaign more effective. There aren’t a great deal of agencies who know how to use the tools.

A common problem with pay per click companies is the inability to provide detailed traffic and conversion reporting. Pay per click is so measurable and tangible that detailed monthly reporting should be a minimum that a PPC agency provides.


Things to Watch Out for with a Pay Per Click Company

The first thing that you should out for in looking for a legitimate pay per click company is that it should display some expertise and understanding of the PPC procedures. Google, for examples, gives an AdWords certification to show that a company knows exactly how Google’s PPC services work.

A good pay per click company will be able to receive good testimonials from people who had experience working with them in the past. These testimonials can be found virtually anywhere within the Web. Some can be found in the company’s website itself, but these testimonials require some sort of deliberation and discretion. This is because it is not uncommon for companies to fabricate testimonials about their services just to attract customers. You can run a search for these companies in your preferred search engines to find some third-party testimonials in some sites.

Credible companies always come up with a portfolio in order to back up their claims of expertise. This portfolio can be found in many sites including the company’s website. Again, use your discretion to discern the real ones from the fake.

As mentioned earlier there should be no excuses for not delivering at least monthly traffic and conversion reports. Advertisers should also check for any hidden extra costs e.g. charging to add new keywords to the campaign.
