Most people don't have a clue on what to do when something strange happens with their computer. So instead of trying to figure out the problem calmly and coolly, they just assume the computer is in need of repairs and pay hundreds of dollars to have it fixed. This truly is a shame, as all they likely needed to do was use a reliable registry cleaner. Don't know what a registry cleaner is, what it does, or why you should use one? Well, don't worry -- the most frequently asked questions about registry repair software have been listed below.

Q: What is a "Registry"?

A: The registry is where all the crucial information about your computer is stored. Not just system configurations & settings either, everything! Every time you give the computer a command, the registry is where it heads to complete the assigned tasks. Whether it be opening a file, launching a game, listening to music, opening your browser, changing your desktop background, etc. the registry is involved.

Q: How does a registry become corrupted?

A: Simply due to all the user's activity. With all the information that it stores and organizes, it isn't that uncommon for things to get a bit disorganized from time to time. Every and any activity can cause errors to build in the registry; primarily the activities that involve the removal and/or creation of files, software, and/or games. And since the windows registry does not automatically clean house when things get out of order, the errors are allowed to accumulate without interference.

Q: What can I do to stop these errors from building?

A: Honestly, absolutely nothing. Unless you're a computer technician that intimately knows about registry errors and what to do to prevent them, it's virtually impossible. In fact, even if you were a computer technician, it would still be next to impossible to prevent all registry errors from occurring. Truth be told, the answer isn't "prevention", it's repair.

Q: Alright then, how do I repair the registry?

A: Through the use of a registry cleaner of course. A registry cleaner automatically sweeps and repairs all errors within your registry. All you have to do is click the "Go" or "Start" button and the software will do the rest.

Q: Can't I just clean the registry manually?

A: NO! Repairing the registry all by yourself is a suicide mission -- for the computer of course, not you. Why is it dangerous? Because a single mistake could send your entire computer system down the tubes.

There are thousands & thousands of different files within the registry, which means you would have to go through each one individually looking for anomalies. Having said that, if you don't know anything about your registry, how would you even go about identifying harmful errors?

Just do yourself a favor and forget the idea of manual registry repair. It will save you from many future headaches.

Q: Are there any dangers with running the software?

A: Not really. Most registry cleaners come with a back-up feature that allows you to effortlessly roll-back your registry settings in case something does indeed go wrong. However, you should know that when using well-known registry repair software, mistakes are extremely rare.

Q: How often should I be running registry scans?

A: At least once a week. But then again, that's only if you want your computer operating at optimum performance.
