For women that suffer from stress urinary incontinence and would also like to enjoy a more fulfilling sex life, modern laser technology offers an option that may work for you. Many surgeons are beginning to use lasers which are a highly effective and minimally invasive option for various sorts of procedures. If you have had children and suffer from symptoms related to lower pelvic muscle control, laser treatments may be what you are looking for.

For many women, vaginal reconstructive surgery is an option which is quickly becoming a popular for its ability to present effective results with minimal invasiveness to the body. Lasers offer a virtually bloodless and minimal down time treatment to the muscles and tissues which help to structurally support the vaginal area. This makes it possible to enjoy a healthier sex life and to more fully control the urinary tract. Vaginal surgeons are able to discuss each patient’s situation and options, discuss their goals, what they are after, what they are seeking to acquire out of the surgery, and what their expectations should reasonably be.

Like all surgeries, vaginal reconstructive surgery carries benefits and risks that must be addressed. Since lasers are minimally invasive, the risks are not nearly as profound as a more invasive surgery but it is still very important to discuss any concerns that you may have prior to surgery. The treatment typically reduces additional vaginal mucosa, or vaginal tissue that can result is less pleasurable intercourse. Furthermore, the vaginal issues and surrounding muscles are made tighter, strengthened as they are shortened or shrunken to create a more controlled lower pelvic region.

Most women who suffer from some form of incontinence or who are not satisfied with their lower pelvic strength post-childbirth or into older age may be good candidates for the procedure. Being aware of the goal and the intention that is the reason for seeking out the procedure is always a good indication of whether or not the surgery will be a positive decision. Furthermore, the female body is rather complex so it is a good idea to fully understand how the surgery will alter the dynamics of the lower pelvic region. By asking questions, you can get more fully involved in the procedure and make sure you are getting what you want out of it.

Overall women who seek out vaginal reconstructive surgery are satisfied with the results and do feel and overall tightening and more control in the lower pelvic region. It may be a good idea to ask the vaginal surgeons in your area about their experience, their education, and how long they have been performing reconstructive surgery. The procedure is typically performed on a routine basis making it one of the more common procedures meant to promote the health and wellbeing of women from all backgrounds and ages. Due to this, finding a fully competent and experienced vaginal surgeon should not prove difficult. There are a number of reconstructive surgeons all over so it should simple to find one that suits your needs and who you feel comfortable with.
