There are definitely more hotels out there than bed & breakfast locations, so securing a reservation on one can be difficult if you don't plan ahead. It seems like more people are passing over hotels to get a more personal environment at a bed & breakfast. Some of them have several rooms while others only feature two or three of them.

The atmosphere in a hotel can be chaotic at times. You may have to wait a very long time to get your breakfast, to check in, or to get the front desk to address some other need you have. With most bed & breakfast locations, your needs will be met immediately and you can get back to enjoying yourself. This is a great way to pamper yourself too.

While many hotels offer a continental breakfast, you can enjoy a hearty meal in the morning at a bed & breakfast. The fact that someone is in the kitchen making food just for you to enjoy on a personal level makes it very special. Perhaps the morning paper will be waiting, some fresh cut flowers on the table, or even information on various activities in the area that you can engage in.

Excessive traveling either for work or for leisure can really affect a person over time. A person may end up having too many bad experiences with hotels to really want to spend any more time in them. For a lower price a person can often enjoy a wonderful bed & breakfast to break up the same old routine. People want to be comfortable where they are staying, and most hotels just don't take the time to offer personal touches anymore.

Sometimes a person books a couple of days at a bed & breakfast just because they have heard a great deal about them. It may be a particular bed & breakfast that they are interested in or just the whole concept. With the access to the internet that people have, you can easily find bed & breakfast locations just as easily as you can find a hotel room.

For your guests, you may not have the room in your home to accommodate them. It can feel very impersonal to put them up at a hotel. You may feel more comfortable knowing they are at a lovely bed & breakfast not too far from you. This is a great way to treat them to something special while they in town to spend some time with you.

The more personalized you can make the stay for someone at your bed & breakfast, they more likely they will choose it over a hotel. People love to be pampered and this gives them the chance to get it without having to pay for a five star hotel. Having some leisure time at a bed & breakfast can really help you to enjoy your vacation or travel for work.

Word of mouth and the reviews that people post about your bed & breakfast online are going to bring you more customers as long as you continue to exceed the expectations of your guests. Some bed & breakfast locations even have to turn away requests for reservations as they are booked solid for their rooms.
