Lights set the mood of any room in the house. It compliments the fixtures and furniture and generally enlivens the ambience of the room. Downlighting is very common in all industrial places and houses. Lights are positioned high in the ceiling to light the area below. Uplighting is used to reduce the glare from surfaces that are likely to reflect lights. Front lighting makes objects appear flat, as there is no shadows cast. Backlighting is commonly used in gadgets where little bulbs are placed around the electronic device to add accent.
