Sure. It's great to venture something new, especially if it's something related to blogging, particularly; monetizing. Let me say this once. Blogging is not about monetizing. It's about your interest. If money is the utmost reason you jump into blogger's bandwagon, you'll be an idiot in no time.

If you want to transform yourself to a blogger, make a lot of research. Study how blogs become successful. If, however you insist to become an idiot blogger, these tips will further boost your effort. Worry not. It will make your life easier or at least, the other way around.

1) Check you stats daily

Sure. Everybody loves to see their stats grow. During my last website, I used to check my stats daily. Yes, DAILY! It's fascinating to see the traffic grows. If you behave the way I did, then please continue. Getting new visitors are one of the most critical paths for webmaster/blogger and this is the only way to achieve that. Keep starring the graphs and tables, but don't bother to spend your time planning the growth. Yes, keep checking your stats daily. It won't waste your time. Never do this weekly or monthly as what the pros did. Become obsessed with the stats. Once it starts dropping, you'll see how idiot you are.

2) Create as much topics as possible

I always look for idiot blogs and I noticed something similar--there are too many topics and I can't help myself to squeeze my brain on which one to read first. I even found a blog with 13 sections and 21 sub-sections. Guess what, most of them are empty! Yes, idiot blogger in the making. Idiot blogger tends to be Mr. Perfect or Mr. Know-All. Successful blogs always focus to specific topics but since that's not your target, don't care about it. Too many topics will not make you lose focus on the long run but if you are on this track then worry not; you are halfway into idiot territory.

3) Give no respect to other webmasters/bloggers

Content is king. Yes, everyone knows that. During early stage, everyone tends to fill their blog with as much content as possible. If (like what I'm doing) managing the blog individually, producing 100 contents a month is almost impossible. But you are different. You must make things at absurd rate. To cut things short, you prefer to cut and paste other people's content, tweak here and there, change this and that, and proudly claim the contents are yours. Your blog is not where you express your opinion and knowledge. Keep enriching your blog with someone else contents, and you are making the right move.

4) Paste those banners everywhere

It's a rare sight if blogs have no adsense or banners. Yes, that's where your revenue comes from. Even a single click daily can keep your blog alive. But a mere click is not enough. You need to get more. Paste advertising banners everywhere and trick the readers with false adsense links as best as you can. Don't care how intrusive it may look. What really matters are getting enough clicks for the day. Keep reminding yourself. This is the only way to survive on the long run. You'll proclaim the title faster than you thought.

5) Never appreciate your readers

I've encountered a local blog where it published quite an interesting content. In fact, the excerpt shown it has 63 comments on it! This is awesome. The entire content is good and more towards my personal liking. When I scrolled down, guess what? SPAM--all 63 of them! And what does it mean? Well, one thing for sure. The owner is trying very hard to claim the title. He doesn't need to check his blog and at the same time, ignores his readers. If this is how you treat your readers, perhaps you are the best candidate to fill the 'Idiot Bloggers Club' presidency.

6) All I want is Google

This is where I heard the most. In fact, many SEO companies keep repeating it as their marketing strategy. Yes...Eat those words. You can get first listing in Google search page as easy as pie. Bid for the highest rate and there you go. This is the only way to promote your blog. Abandon your social network. It won't bring you any traffic. Forget your friends although they are the one promoting your blog. It's Google that matters. If this is what you have been thinking, combine with all those tips above, then you have officially proclaim the idiot blogger of the year.
