There is one tool that is absolutely necessary for successful Email marketing. That is an autoresponder. It is probably the single most useful tool ever created for Internet marketing. What an autoresponder does is allow you to create Email marketing messages that are placed in sequence and every time someone signs up for your list they will automatically receive your sequential Email marketing messages. You have to set it up once but then automation kicks in. It is like having a perpetual money machine.

One thing you need to be aware of when engaging in Email marketing. That is the Can Spam Act. It is extremely important that you comply with the provisions of this Act. You will need to have several disclosures. On your email messages your signature file must comply with the act. If you send out newsletters with advertising within them you have to disclose this fact. All of the major autoresponder services address the Can Spam Act so be sure to check this out before you begin your Email marketing programs.

One other useful tool is a Spam filter check. These are usually available through your autoresponder supplier at no cost. Be sure to check your sales messages before you send them to make sure that they will not be filtered out. If you don’t much of your time and effort will be negated, as your messages will end up in your subscribers Spam file and never be read.
