The region of Patagonia Argentina has many wonderful outdoor activities to engage in. It is a beautiful country that has plenty of things to do for those who love the outdoors. Patagonia is a great place to spend time for those who want to experience the most southern part of the world.

Patagonia is at the southern end of South American. Part of the region is in Argentina and the other part is in Chile. It has a population of 1.7 million. The region has lots of tours and allows visitors to take part in a variety of different activities such as water sports, hiking, skiing and glacier watching.

Touted as the “end of the world,” many people visit the region and want to take part of different tours. The glaciers are very popular as they are picturesque and covered with blue ice. In fact, this is one of the most popular tours in the region.

If you spend any time in Patagonia, you will no dout hear about the legend of Nahuelito. This is akin to the Loch Ness Monster. The Nahuelito is believed to reside in the Nahuel Huapi lake. If you visit, be sure to keep in eye out for him or her. This creature is believed to be a prehistoric animal and 50% of the locals believe that it exists. It is said to be between 10-15 feet, has two humps, leathery skin and a swan’s neck.

Patagonia was once populated by sheep farmers. Today, adventure seekers and the curious, flock to the southern most region in the world. When they come, they come to primarily visit four spots. They include the Glaciers, Moreno, Perito and Upsalsa which are popular and huge glaciers that many people love touring. They are actually one 3 of the world's advancing glaciers left. These destinations are all in Patagonia, Argentina. Ushuaia is another hot destination. It is nicknamed the “The end of the earth.” This is because it is the city that is the most southern in all of the world. The National Park is another great place to visit.

Torres del Paine, in Patagonia Chile, is also a fantastic destination that one should consider visiting while in this part of the world. There is a National Park in Torres del Paine, which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the region. One can take a look at the Grey glacier, The Horns and the Towers.

Patagonia was once a desolated area. It’s location is the most southern region in the world and has now attracted many world travelers and adventure seekers. There are many places to go and tours of the region are becoming more and more popular. Individuals can take part in water sports, look at some of the world’s most impressive glaciers, visit the country side and enjoy some of the world’s most beautiful cities.
