"Even in today’s technologically advanced world, an old-fashioned advertising tool like a brochure can still have a dramatic impact on your sales. You just have to be smart about the way you make your brochures. Here are some tips that can help you out.

Tip Number 1: Never try to cheat your customers

Some companies try to save money by printing their own brochures or by using a cheap, corner store printing place. Do yourself a favor and avoid this trap. Customers can spot “cheap” work a mile away. Invest in good, quality brochure printing, and you will be happy you did. The costs will be more than worth it when the extra revenues start rolling in.

Tip Number 2: Be careful not to confuse your customers

By this, I mean that you must have a consistent message on your brochures. Trying to send several different ideas out with the same brochure is a big mistake. Customers will be a bit overwhelmed and will end up just ignoring you completely. Decide what message you want to convey, and stick with it. Design everything involved with your brochure printing around that one message.

Tip Number 3: Keep it relatively simple

This tip kind of goes along with tip number 2. It is very tempting to try and fill your brochures with all kinds of different images and colors and swishes and lines and all that sort of thing. And while you definitely want your brochure to be aestetically pleasing – and you certainly want to use color – you have to be careful not to go overboard. Just like in tip number 1, too much can overwhelm the customer, and you want to avoid that at all costs. This also goes along with tip number 4………

Tip Number 4: Keep your brochure organized

Along with keeping things simple, you also want them to be well laid out. Divide your brochure up into sections, with each section having a different subject (within the same overall message, of course). Use headings and sub headings to set your sections apart.

Tip Number 5: Catch the reader’s eye

This tip has two layers. First, the color scheme and overall design of your brochure printing should attract readers on their own. In addition, the words that you include on the front page should be the most important words in the entire work. Make a good first impression by including a clever phrase, or even a special offer, right on the front by your company name and logo.

Tip Number 6: Use all of the available space

This one can be a bit tricky. You have to find a way to both use all of the real estate available on your brochure, while still keeping things relatively simple (remember tip number 3?) and organized (tip number 4). You could do this by printing things in the captions, using a different, smaller font than the you used on the main parts of the brochure. Or, you could include some simple, not-overpowering images in those spaces.
