On September, 18 1502, Christopher Columbus anchored offshore near present day Puerto Limón, Costa Rica. A lot has changed since then. Costa Rica is probably the #1 visited tourist country in Central America.

Why?

Because Costa Rica goes out of the way to protect its natural beauty and resources. Both present and future generations (meaning you) can experience portions of a natural environment similar to what Columbus saw hundreds of years ago.

Costa Rica has become something of a South American "Mecca" for tourists. Which might explain why Hollywood stars such as Bran Pitt and Angelina Jolie love spending time there.

A few real estate investors refer to it as “the Switzerland of Central America” because of its political stability and native beauty. The high standard of living enjoyed by many who retire here from different parts of the world -- called “expats” a.k.a. “expatriates”-- is very attractive too.

But most of the activities you’ll want to enjoy in Costa Rica (listed in the pages of my free ebook) will somehow immerse you within the natural beauty of this country and its people.

Costa Rica is world famous for its active volcanoes, rain forests, cloud forests, waterfalls, wildlife, spectacular views, temperate weather and friendly people.

Hundreds of thousands of visitors come to Costa Rica each year because of one main reason: though this country covers just .03% of the earth’s surface … it features nearly 6% of the planet’s biodiversity.

Costa Rica invites you to come, see, and experience its ecosystem. All it asks in return is that you don’t harm its natural wonders in any way … so future generations can enjoy them.

Ahhhh ... Costa Rica’s Natural Wonders. How does one even begin to list them?

Take butterflies, for example. There are more species of butterflies in Costa Rica than there are on the entire continent of Africa.

Or, how about birds? There are over 850 species of birds -- more than in all of North America.

Costa Rica has 112 volcanoes … 7 of them are active (with the famous Arenal being the most active). Arenal is also the most popular attraction among all of Costa Rica’s tourist sites.

And that’s just where it starts …

-- 1,200 types of orchids
-- 4,000 sorts of insects
-- 160 species of amphibians
-- 130 kinds of freshwater fish
-- 220 array of reptiles
-- 9,000 types of plants
-- 1,600 kinds of salt water fish
-- 208 mammal species
-- Volcanoes (active and dormant)
-- Cloud forests
-- Rain Forests
-- Wetlands and Swamps
-- Mangrove trees
-- 850 species of birds
-- 1,000 species of butterflies

Sound exciting?

The best time to visit Costa Rica is actually when it’s "summertime" in North America. Why? Because June, July and August fall into Costa Rica’s “green” (i.e. rainy) season. Prices are much lower than December thru May … when most travelers visit the country.

But what about the rain? Don’t worry about it.

It usually only rains for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Morning are usually sunny. And most evenings are clear, warm … and romantic.

So instead of visiting the same old summer vacation spots in North America -- experience a world-class vacation in an exotic destination like Costa Rica this summer.
