It is quite obvious that content on the internet is king. Content is the driving force behind all traffic and product sales. A customer turns to the internet to find free content and when overwhelmed or feels the need to dive into more specialized content he purchases a product. If you can deliver quality free content there is a far greater chance that those prospects looking for information in your niche will buy from you. Let me show you how the most basic forms of content creation that can drive hundreds if not thousands of visitors to your site per day.

The written word still dominates the internet and you need to know the top 6 forms of written content to have any success in driving traffic.

1. Articles are by far my favorite. I am sure you can tell because you are reading one right now. The name of the game is article directories. All you have to do is write a brief article (500-700 words) that presents and solves a problem and then submit the article to the article directory. You are allowed to include a brief bio about yourself and a link to your site, plus other authors and webmasters can use their articles on their sites. Your articles on multiple web sites means double the traffic for you.

2. You can use all of the articles that you have written (I recommend at least 5) and put them into a free report that covers one subtopic in your niche that solves a greater problem than a single article. A free report is meant to provide value to your readers, so don’t just lazily throw 5 articles into a free report and hope to see results.

3. Another great way to use written content to drive traffic is by using the power of your auto responder. If you don’t already have an auto responder set up I highly recommend that you go to a weber.com and sign up immediately. An auto responder is a service that lets you collect customer e-mails so you can stay in contact with them by writing informative messages or newsletters about happenings in your niche. You can use this auto responder to create a new stream of income for yourself with affiliate products and commissions.

4. You can do e-mail interviews with professionals in your topic. You do not have to go overboard. Just find a professional either on the web or in your home town. Send the expert a few questions a month by e-mail and then you can send it to all of your customers and position it as an expert interview that answers the four main questions in your niche.

5. An ebook is a great way to create a revenue stream all by itself. There are many courses on how to write an ebook but depending on your writing skill level you may be able to write this all by yourself. Basically just make it about 10 chapters and write about the most common problems that your customers may face when trying to do something in their niche whether it is gardening, health or training dogs all you have to do is provide value and they will provide a little bit of money.

6. I have good news if you hate writing. Not every one is the best writer and I still have visions of my 7th grade English teacher giving me D’s on my papers. You can have all of your writing done for you. There is a site that is full of independent writers that charge a small fee for their writing. It doesn’t matter if it is articles or ebooks they will do the writing for you and you can focus more on your marketing. Just go to elance.com and post your project.

I hope that you have picked up on a few of these tips and can put them to use in your business. If you can do all six that is great but I highly recommend getting an auto responder and writing articles to increase your income and traffic.
