Preparatory Courses for the Italian Examination "Firenze" AIL

Are you interested in certifying your knowledge of Italian language? The Leonardo da Vinci school, present in some of the most interesting sites in Italy (Florence, Milan, Rome and Siena) is a recognized examination centre for Accademia Italiana di Lingua (AIL) and organizes courses for beginners as well as advanced students. The Accademia Italiana di Lingua is the professional Association schools, institution and and experts working in the field of teaching Italian as a foreign language. The members of the association guarantee and promote the high quality of Italian Language teaching.

The programs consist in Standard courses combined with some specific preparatory courses and its duration depends on your knowledge of the italian language from 4 to 24 weeks.

The Leonardo da Vinci schools lessons are based on the Communicative Approach Method (CAM): from the first day on, at all levels, only Italian will be spoken.

Teachers emphasize the spoken and living language; the teaching staff consists of young teams of experienced language teachers, all of whom have studied at University and who have been specially trained in teaching italian to foreigners.

The Leonardo da Vinci schoos offer courses on six ability levels, following the Assessment Grid of the European Language Portfolio (ELP/CEP: Common European Framework of References for Language ) which is based on the assessment grid of Schneider/North.

At the end of each course and level, your progress will be assessed through a written test.

The specific preparatory courses always start one month before the examination dates and consist of 4 daily lessons of grammar review and conservation plus 2 lessons of test taking strategies and examination drills.

The Scuola Leonardo da Vinci is an authorized examination center. AIL organizes the following Diploma "Firenze" language examination: -DELI A2 : Diploma Elementare di Lingua Italiana "Firenze" - AIL, basic level: At the end of the 1st ability level; One month preparation for beginners; exams 4 times a year. Ability level according to the assessment scale: elp: A2 - s/n: N3)*;

- DILI B1: Diploma Intermedio di Lingua Italiana "Firenze" - AIL, intermediate level: At the end of the 3rd ability level; Three months preparation for beginners; exams 4 times a year. Ability level according to the assessment scale: elp: B1 - s/n: N6)*;

- DILC B1: Diploma Intermedio di Lingua Italiana Commerciale "Firenze" - AIL, intermediate level: At the end of the 3rd ability level; Three months preparation for beginners; exams 4 times a year. Ability level according to the assessment scale: elp: B1 - s/n: N6)*;

- DILI B2: Diploma Intermedio di Lingua Straniera "Firenze" - AIL, intermediate level: At the end of the 4th ability level; Four months preparation for beginners; exams 4 times a year. Ability level according to the assessment scale: elp: B2 - s/n: N8)*;

- DALI C1: Diploma Avanzato di Lingua Italiana "Firenze"- AIL, advanced level: At the end of the 6th ability level; Six months preparation for beginners; exams twice a year. Ability level according to the assessment scale: elp: C1 - s/n: N9)*;

- DALC C1: Diploma Avanzato di Lingua Italiana Commerciale "Firenze" - AIL, Business language, advanced level: At the end of the 6th ability level. Six months preparation for beginners, including business and commerce course; exams twice a year. Ability level according to the assessment scale: elp: C1 - s/n: N10)*
