"In todays e-mail world many are ignoring proven traditional modes of delivery. Direct mail presents a great way to deliver a custom tailored message to a niche audience. The growing popularity and consequent cost of online advertising has now made direct mail quite competitive in terms of ROI.

Brochure printing has come a long way. Older offset technology can be combined with new digital processes. With minimal variable data, the costs per unit for a longer run prove to be quite economical. Full color brochures are an excellent marketing tool. Trade shows can provide a central location of delivery. However, most campaigns require the assistance of the mail to get them into the hands of your targeted audience.

Business brochures are both an effective marketing tool as well as means of internal communications. They can also be utilized as an effective component of a direct mail strategic campaign. Full color brochures present a good image for any company when properly done. They also can be done at far less cost than most assume.

For shorter messages there exists postcard marketing. While not allowing for voluminous copy, a postcard is a cost effective mechanism to deliver a quick message to customers or prospects. Including your web site address can provide a way to leverage the old snail mail towards increasing traffic on the interactive side.

Posters present a great piece of the overall plan aimed at capturing outdoor traffic. For those companies needing a grander scale there are always billboards. For smaller budgets, flyer printing can provide for wide distribution and attract as many eyeballs as many billboards. It can be done in a more targeted fashion especially when using the mail for a portion of them.

The content and colors of your advertisements is also obviously critical. Ideally, you will be selling to a niche market which you have deep understanding. You craft your copy and design to be specifically geared to appeal to the demographic represented in your niche. When a small business owner attempts to sell to the broader market the results are often less than thrilling. Take advantage of an underserved niche market.

Online also has great appeal. Some businesses benefit more than others through their online presence. However, every business can benefit from traditional direct marketing techniques like full color brochures. The interactive world presents a good opportunity to solicit feedback from your customers and prospects. Customer feedback allows you to constantly refine your product or service to meet the needs of the always changing marketplace.

Don't forget the traditionally successful marketing techniques. Online certainly has its place. However direct mail and other real world avenues still can be utilized with great effectiveness. A well rounded marketing plan leads to successful sales.
