Party consultants earn their money by the booking of other parties off a party they hold. The more parties they can get others to book, the more money they make. They get credits more merchandise as does the person that books the party. Therefore, everyone wins in this situation.

Many consultants complain that as much as they want bookings, they’re having a difficult time getting them. Sometimes, it’s easier than we think to get a booking, it just takes a little self motivation and an opening of the eyes. In fact, sometimes things are so obvious, we just don’t see them.

The most important thing is to book with confidence. When you have confidence and your guests can visibly see the confidence, they’re going to want to be part of the action and book parties as well. Don’t make them feel that they’re doing you a favor by hosting a party. Rather, show them the many ways they can benefit by hosting a party, making them feel it’s their idea and a good idea.

Be confident and knowledgeable at your party so they can feel your confidence and want to be part of it. Once they feel your confidence, they’ll want to host a party so they’ll be successful, too. Too many hosts walk through a party shyly almost begging their guests to book a party. Then they’re surprised when no one or only one or two people agree to do so.

Take home decorating parties for example. There are many different types of home decorating parties around today. Although some of the merchandise is considered pricey, it sells very well because the host or demonstrator is confident and has the home decorating items on display in their home. Things always look better when they’re being used and on display than when they’re in a catalog. Scented candles are a huge seller and have been for many years. Having a few different scented candles lit and filling room with the aroma will help to make sales. Being that hosts get a certain number of credits for merchandise from booking, merchandise will sell itself.

Don’t wait until the end of the party to ask your guests to book. Bring it up throughout the party, while showing some of your best merchandise in the process. You want your guests to book off your party, not someone else's.

Rather than ask, you may get a better response from assuming that they’re going to book a party. A good choice would be to ask them what day would work best for them for a party. If two friends are both thinking of having a party, approaching them both with dates that are open may get them both excited about booking a party off of each other, giving them both free merchandise.

Although you want to be confident, you don’t want to be pushy. Bring up the many gifts they’ll get from booking and show them the merchandise. Talk to them about all the merchandise you’ve received from hosting parties. When they see the many ways you’ve benefited, they’ll be sure to book a party with confidence as well. This is your path to a successful home based business.
