Panama is a shopper’s paradise. Luxury goods from all over the world, duty free cravings, and a whole lot more can be easily found and bought here. From jewelry to kitchenware, from handicrafts to electrical equipment, from native costumes to artifacts, you just name it and Panama has it. Try to go around the endless shopping malls and centers and you would definitely say shopping in Panama is one of the most wondrous experiences you will ever have.

For your signature clothes and designer accessories such as Anne Klein, Polo Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Levi’s, Chanel, Bulgari and many other designer clothing and accessories, the Multiplaza Pacific Mall is the place to be. Located near the city’s business district, the Multiplaza is an enclosed mall that serves as a home to all those designer boutiques with, of course, not-so-cheap prices. Okay, so you’re not into this kind of shopping, let’s try other malls.

Another mall that houses stores for your unique shopping in Panama experience is the Multicentro located near the Bella vista. You will find designer brands and signature clothing apparel here as well but at cheaper prices.

The Albrook Mall is located just beside the Albrook Regional Airport. Also an enclosed mall this is the haven for discount stores and bargain shopping. Albrook Mall was originally built to keep up with the bus terminal that it sits adjacent to. Because of the thousands of bus passengers that go through it every day, Albrook Mall is truly at a very strategic location when it comes to shopping in Panama. Locals and tourists alike tirelessly frequent the mall because of the great discounts and affordable prices that the stores have for jeans and shirts, shoes and bags, and for many others.

For those who are accustomed to outlet malling in the United States, Los Pueblos is the best place to shop. Situated near the Tocumen International Airport, Los Pueblos is built with great parking spaces. The Christmas season is peak season in Los Pueblos where most Central and South Americans do their shopping in Panama.

Although the population with less economic resources in Panama does their shopping in Central Avenue, many tourists still like the place because they also offer a wide range of great finds. Divided into two separate sections, one should be able to find everything imaginable between the two: from men and women’s clothing and accessories, fruits and fabrics, electronics and books, you name it, they have it. The second half of the Central Avenue should also be explored. With its cobble-stoned streets and potted trees, one will have a relaxing shopping in Panama experience. They have shops for your clothing needs, fruit stands, groceries, shoes and sandals boutique and definitely a whole lot more.

Shopping in Panama will never cease to amaze and amuse you. They have a fresh fish market where you can go and pick your type of fish and they’ll clean and wrap it up for you in minutes. For your meat needs, they have an open air market that is clean and gives you the opinion that everything is too. Shopping in Panama is one must-do experience whenever you’re there regardless of whether it’s for business of for recreational purposes.
