As one of the major retail areas in the Midlands region, shopping in Milton Keynes is an experience not to be missed. With some great links to the M1 motorway and railway network Milton Keynes has the added pull of being accessible to shoppers from miles and miles around.

Local Shopping in Milton Keynes

There is no shortage of towns and villages around the Milton Keynes area offering all sorts of shopping opportunities. The historic Stony Stratford also known as the ‘jewel of Milton Keynes’ even has its own butcher, baker and candlestick maker!

Another town Buckingham, although a bit further afield is also worth a visit. A Georgian market town with plenty of atmosphere, you will find many charming local pubs to enjoy a lunchtime meal in.

Set on the edge of Buckinghamshire the beautiful town of Olney is renowned for its independent and specialist shops. It’s the perfect summer’s day outing for tea and cake or ice cream for the kids!

Late Night Shopping in Milton Keynes

If you have a busy schedule during the day or you just prefer to shop in the evening the Centre MK, the main shopping centre in Milton Keynes caters for your late night shopping requirements. Open until 8pm on Thursdays and Fridays you can always pop in after work to buy something for a night out or special occasion. Not only do you miss the hustle and bustle of day time shopping, but you also get the added bonus of free parking after 6pm.

The vast range of shops, markets and superstores in Milton Keynes make shopping in Milton Keynes a great experience. The sheer choice of major retailers and shops in the area must surely increase your chances of finding the right outfit, appliance or gift you are looking for in one shopping trip!

When you have suitably shopped till you have dropped you’ll be glad to hear there is also plenty of entertainment to keep the whole family busy for a few more hours. A family meal, a trip to the theatre or bowling can be the ideal finish and wind down to a shopping trip in Milton Keynes. There are two major cinemas in Milton Keynes for moviegoers. Alternatively if you prefer your acting a bit closer to home there are a great selection of theatre shows performed at the Milton Keynes theatre.

Another unique experience to Milton Keynes is the indoor ski and snowboarding centre which even has its own cinema. As a high adrenaline activity it may be ideal for keeping the buys amused whilst allowing you time to peruse the retail fashion shops at your leisure.

The great thing about shopping in Milton Keynes is the sheer choice and variety of leisure activities on offer. The shopping centre in Milton Keynes and the surrounding towns and villages all have a part to play in making this an appealing day out for all the family.
