A short drive from the town you can visit the donkey sanctuary which is a wonderful place and these old beasts of burden are looked after very well, it is a kind of “old folks home” for donkeys. You can take a short cruise to Egypt or just cruise around the south side of the Island whilst eating dinner, that is so romantic and a “must do”. You can ski in the mountains in the winter and then drive down to the coast and take a dip in the sea afterwards; there are many Cypriots that do this. If history is your thing then there is plenty of this.
