No doubt, if you take care of the cleaning in your home, you will have noticed that it can cost you plenty of money month after month, to purchase those expensive chemical based cleaning products to keep everything in your kitchen and bathroom sparkling. Not only do these chemical based products cost you an arm and a leg but they also can be harmful to your health.

These days there are alternatives to keep kitchen items such as glass jars and other delicate kitchen items free of germs and hygienically fresh for re-use. Why not try the age old glass washing brush (jar brush) with some white distilled vinegar. By adding a couple of drops of white distilled vinegar into a glass jar, drinking glass or a glass bowl, you will be obtaining the same cleaning effect as you would with any chemical based cleaning agent. Some simple scrubbing using a glass washing brush and within minutes your jar, glass or bowl has returned to its former glistening glory.

For years, people have been encouraged by the marketing departments of major corporations to purchase expensive glass cleaner with magical dishwashing soap properties, in order to keep their kitchen glassware clear, clean and hygienic. Little do people know however, that they can purchase a glass washing brush which will not harm their glassware and will in fact preserve it for years to come. Manufactured with soft bristles, a glass washing brush is ideal for removing all sorts of odds and sods from glassware.

Just name your problem in the kitchen, and a glass washing brush is up for the challenge – remnants of red wine in the wine glass, burnt edges of a quiche in the glass baking dish or stained beetroot juice in a storage jar. No matter what the situation, a glass washing brush is the ideal solution.
But what about those times when you just cannot reach the bottom of the gravy jug and you need a brush (jar bush) that is that is a little fuller in terms of height and width. Then a fuller kitchen brush is for you. A fuller kitchen brush is not unlike a regular glass washing brush, in that it can also remove grime from glass items in the kitchen, but in addition, a fuller kitchen brush, can also get you out of a spot of trouble, when you are dealing with hard to reach places.

The gravy jug is the perfect example because it is often hard to remove the clumps of gravy from the very bottom of the jug. No matter how hard you try you will never get your entire hand in the jar and no matter how long you leave the jar to soak, the dishwashing soap properties (hand dishwashing liquid) will just not adequately penetrate the jug sufficiently for you to move those hard morsels. Instead, all you need to do is add some distilled white vinegar, a small amount of water and grab your fuller kitchen brush and begin scrubbing and twisting. Within minutes you will notice the clumps begin to come away from the bottom of the jug.

The interesting thing about all of this is that so few people actually practice this method of glass cleaning. With the bevy of choices now available when it comes to glass washing brush products (premium kitchen brush set), you would think that kitchens all across the country would be adopting such a simple cleaning policy. But indeed, the simplicity of some distilled white vinegar and a glass brush is still much maligned, as people continue to opt for the product labels that brag about long lasting dishwashing soap properties.

So what is so special about distilled white vinegar when it comes to cleaning kitchen and glassware? Well, in fact using distilled white vinegar has been around for decades – it is not a new trendy or passing fade. When you were unable to buy the range of chemical based products that are available now, women in the 30s, 40s and 50s used distilled white vinegar to clean plenty of things around the home. Some of the benefits of using distilled white vinegar include the fact that it can cut through hard stains that have been on an item for some years, it does not streak (particularly important for glassware), it brings out a greater shines in porcelain and glassware and it can remove any dulling of any item that has been caused by constant washing in a modern day dishwasher.
