The Day Off Diet is a new diet plan which is available online only. It's different from other plans in that it does not focus on eating less but instead focuses on eating the right foods as often as you like. You will find when you follow this diet that if you eat the right foods you automatically stop overeating. It's the wrong foods that cause your cravings in the first place!

Old fashioned low calorie diets are becoming a relic of an earlier time when we did not know as much about losing weight or nutrition. They are simply not very effective. Besides being very difficult to follow, they also have a tendency to make your body go into what is commonly known as "starvation mode." This means that your metabolism has slowed down so much that your body actually begins to hold onto fat while burning muscle for energy. This is the worst thing that can happen to you physically. You need more muscle, not less!

While low carb diets are much more effective than low calorie diets, they are not any easier to follow. Most dieters find them far too restrictive to stick with over the long term. And if you can't stick with a diet until you reach your goal weight, there's really no point to the diet in the first place. We now know that you don't need to cut out carbs entirely, you just have to eat the right carbs. For example beans contain the right carbs while donuts contain the wrong carbs!

Diet pills are another option that you will want to avoid at all costs. Diet pills tend to mess up your metabolism in a bad way so that while you may lose some weight while you are on them, as soon as you go off the pills, you are likely to gain all of your weight right back. Plus these pills have a tendency to make you feel bad physically due to their "speed" like side effects. I cannot more strongly discourage you when it comes to diet pills. You don't need them. There are no "miracle pills." They are a waste of time & a waste of money.

Now you know why you should not choose low calorie dies, low carb diets, or diet pills. But you may still be wondering why I recommend The Day Off Diet.

Simply put, this diet corrects all of the problems of the low calorie and low carb approaches.

The Day Off Diet is easy to follow. There's no calorie counting or carb counting. Instead it works with a "food guideline system." You will know that you should be basing your diet on "green light" foods which are foods you can eat until you are satisfied.

The Day Off Diet is not too restrictive. There are some foods you should avoid on this diet but it's not nearly as restrictive as far as how much you can eat (you can eat as many "green light" foods as you want) or as to what you can eat (there's plenty of variety in the "yellow light" foods.) The diet also allows for a weekly "day off" which you can use to satisfy all of your worst cravings. It has been found that by regularly satisfying your cravings on a "day off" you are more likely to stick with the diet the rest of the time.

It does not make your metabolism slow down. In fact, it uses a "day off" every 7th day not only a psychological "carrot" to keep you on the diet the other 6 days but also to boost your metabolism so you burn fat faster.
