You should know when to be quiet and when hear him out. This will give him the courage to share with you even the most sensitive topics that are important in your relationship. He will realize that when he needs to talk to someone about your relationship, he can go straight to you. If the lines are open and there's nothing to hide, you can be sure that the relationship will go a long way.
