Are you a freelance copywriting finding it difficult to get the clients you need for the money and lifestyle you want? If so, this article is for you.

As many people realize how lucrative freelance copywriting can be, it's becoming far too competitive. Because of this, there is less work and more people willing to write ad copy for peanuts.

What can we do?

The Answer: The Global Economy. Practically every company, business, and website owner around the world wants to tap in this vibrant market.

And which countries in this global economy are the most lucrative for business owners to aim for? Obviously, it's the English speaking ones. The USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK all have the money and are willing to spend it.

And this is great news for you if you are a native-speaker of English (or if you're very fluent).

You can use your English-speaking/writing abilities AND your copywriting skills to help "foreign" companies reach and persuade some of the wealthiest, free-spending people and businesses on the planet.

So, how do you find these businesses, the ones who want to compete globally - and who are probably looking for you right at this minute?

Well, I've come up with several methods that have been getting me a constant stream of well-paying clients from all over the world. And I'd like to share one way with you now. And best of all, it's free to do!

This particular method uses International Craigslist. If you go to the Craigslist.org homepage and look over to your right, you'll see "asia, europe, africa, americas, and int'l cities."

(If you don't have a Craigslist account, you might as well sign up now. It's free, but they now have telephone confirmation; we can thank the spammers for that one.)

Who would you like to work with? The Japanese? The Chinese? Brazilians? Russians? Sign on to Craigslist, click on a city or country and then, under Services, navigate over to "write/ed/tr8" (writing/editing/translating).Oh, and by the way, you don't have to know another language to write copy for overseas clients: most clients I have gotten on Craigslist speak English fluently.

Now all you have to do is post your ad - in English.

There are a couple of things you should keep in mind when posting your copywriting service on Craigslist: The first one is make your posting enticing. Tell your prospects everything they will get when they use your services. I see so many ads for copywriters that are so dull. I'd be surprised if they got any work at all.

The other thing is to make sure you put a link to your website - with a way for you to be contacted. You can use a form, an email address, or Skype username (I use all three).

You can place your ads for your services around the world. It doesn't matter where you are located. Just don't place the same ad, with the same wording all over the place. That's what spammers do. And it's a sure way to get flagged and banned. You really should make sure your posting is relevant to the people you are targeting.

Using this method has always gotten me clients - not a deluge, mind you. But you really can't beat the price!
