Cursing your arrogant boss or screaming your heart out against the rising oil prices can affect your weight and body figure without you knowing. You see, all the stress that come your way everyday have been found to trigger changes in the fat cells that in turn can bring about obesity and development of fat deposits. And it's no joke.

Recent studies have found that a molecule called Neuropeptide Y, or NPY, is released by the body whenever one is in stressful situations. The bad news about this molecule is that it can free up fat cell receptors that cause such cells to become bigger and widely distributed over many areas of the body. In short, when NPY is released uncontrollably, it becomes the precursor to unwanted weight gain and fat pockets.

Stress can severely disrupt brain chemicals in your brain to the point that your system will lose its ability to keep balanced levels of important hormones. Before you know it, you will be eating like there's no tomorrow. Or sometimes, you will find yourself craving for food high in fat and glucose. You may not believe this, but laughter can help you fight stress. Doctors have found that laughing can increase the amounts of oxygen that get into the bloodstream. Want to beat stress with a punch? You can try dancing. With dancing, you get the soothing rhythms of music and breathing which can help you relax. It's actually the perfect workout that not only beats stress but also burns plenty of calories. Above all, dancing can be fun too.

The Simplicity Of Walking

Most people consider walking as a simple exercise. But recent studies have shown that there is a definite link between walking and reduced stress levels. The best part is, it does not matter where you do your walking, whether on the treadmill, the sidewalk or right inside your living room. Aside from improving your mood, walking helps you burn calories too. And that's a step towards attaining that ripped look.

Now you know. Stress can cause the flab in your belly. So it's just wise to deal with stress immediately. Having big fat belly can be an embarrassment enough for most men, add to that the wide array of serious diseases that come along with having unwanted fat deposits and you can be in deep trouble.

Follow the tips enumerated above and you have a better chance of turning off stress in your life and preventing your fat cells from going haywire.
