When you visit Havana during your Cuba vacation, you must stay at the best bed and breakfast in town called La Casa de Ana.

Bed and Breakfast accommodation in Cuba isn’t what springs to mind immediately. Cuba has many all inclusive resorts, and that is all very well for a great beach vacation. It would however be a tragedy if your stay in Cuba didn’t include a few days in the decaying splendour of Havana. Then you have the question to answer of where do you stay in Havana, because there are glitzy hotels, but you’ll never get a sense of the real old Havana if you do that.

Why not stay in what is regarded as the top guesthouse, type bed and breakfast place in Havana called La Casa de Ana. You will find this delightful place very central in Havana City, and with only two rooms, a very personal place to stay with a terrific ambiance.

La Casa de Ana doesn’t look much from the street, but is the living proof that you should never judge a book by its cover. The straightforward facts are that the rooms are double rooms, there is air conditioning, tons of hot water in the private bathroom which has a shower, a telephone, room service, and your own private entry and exit. There is a garage if you have hired a car, a Living room for the guests with TV and Video, a Dining Room, because this bed and breakfast in fact does breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is a garden and porch to relax in, and multiple languages are spoken and understood, which includes English, French, Russian, Portugese, and of course Spanish.

It is the owners Ana and Pepe who totally make La Casa de Ana what it is. The first thing to say is that this is a very safe and secure place, and the rooms are very clean indeed. The meals served are wholesome and filling, and the air conditioning assures you of a good night’s sleep in a very comfortable bed, and there is little external noise to disrupt that, and there is a night watchman to add to the secure feeling.

What Ana and Pepe do for you is much more than be good hosts, they also go the extra mile in everything from arranging taxis not just out but also back again to ensure you get back safely. Pepe is a wonderful tour guide, who will not only take you round Havana, but make the history and the buildings almost come to life. He also knows the best places to eat, and you will get losts of useful hints and tips about where to go and what to see, and even what to wear.

There is no doubt if you want to see and experience the real Havana, then there is nowhere better to stay than La Casa de Ana. You will really be in and amongst the lovely people who inhabit the city when you stay here. La Casa de Ana is far more than a mundane bed and breakfast inn, it really is a tiny luxury hotel well disguised, where you will be made so welcome, and made to feel part of a large and very personal family, to whom nothing is too much trouble.
