The premium choice software to create a blog on a self hosted domain is usually WordPress. WordPress is a software that allows you to install your blog after you setup your data base. It is also by far the best software for search engine optimization, which is a must if you want your customers to find you online. WordPress is free to use, but you will need to learn how to install it into your data base. You will also need to learn how to personalize your blog with plugins, widgets and other HTML code. This isn't a suggestion, it's an absolute must if you want to create a blog that ranks well on search engines like Google.

To create a blog with WordPress, you will need one ingredient for sure. That ingredient is time. If you have plenty of time, no problem, you will learn and create a blog that will impress yourself and your customers.
