After our long years of high school, and lots of hard work, and you're finally ready for college! That's not to say, however, that you aren't in for a little bit of hard work before you get to call yourself a college student.

It goes without saying but first you'll have to actually pay college tuition and apply for college if you actually want to attend one. Hopefully during your junior and senior years, you've been busy visiting various colleges and figuring out which ones you want to apply to.

There are a bunch of different factors when it comes to deciding where you want to go to college. The first of which should have to do with your grades, standardized test exams, and extracurricular activities. The better you did, the better the chances of getting into top colleges.

Another thing you will need to think about is the size of the school Some people prefer small colleges, while others prefer large universities. Size goes hand in hand with location, too. For example, do you want to attend a college in a rural location? Or, would you prefer to attend a college in the heart of a big city?

Once you have the answers to all of those big questions, have applied to colleges, and got accepted to some, the next big issue arises – college tuition. In the not-necessarily-good-but-still-cheaper old days, college tuition wasn't even a fraction of what it is today. However, you have to take into consideration the overall costs of things. If college tuition for a year was around $1,000 dollars a hundred years ago, a loaf of bread cost mere pennies.

Unfortunately, college tuition prices go up every year. If you wanted to go a top college, you couldn't possibly do so nowadays without paying at least $100,000 dollars over the course of fours years. So, what can you do if you're broke, but still want to go to college?

Luckily, there are lots of ways that you can get a college education, regardless of your financial situation. Start by applying for scholarships, especially ones that offer a substantial amount of money. The more you apply for, the better your chances of getting at least some of them.

Then, of course, there are government grants given to those who fall under a certain income bracket. For example, if you find yourself earning what equates to poverty-level income, then you can apply for grants, which are basically government loans that you don't have to pay back!

Now that the internet is so popular, you also have the option of earning a college degree online through an accredited institution. Or, if you do choose to attend a regular college, you can find separate internships via websites. A great example of this are internships that allow creative college students to realize their dreams through allowing them to embark on independent projects. As you can see, no matter what your financial background, there are plenty of ways that you can get an excellent college education.
