Spring break trips that include those three destinations rarely fall below the one thousand dollar mark. If they do, then your most likely in a very bad area or in a very low quality hotel. The Bahamas, Myrtle Beach, Daytona Beach, and other domestic spring break packages start around the three hundred dollar mark per person. You will notice that I included the Bahamas in that list. I did that because you can find great spring break cruises to the bahamas for $350 per person. That price often includes transportation and accommodations for four nights. The cruise is only seven hours off the coast of Fort Lauderdale. It's a great way to experience tropical waters and a beautiful island for a very low price.

Third, don't make quick impulsive decisions. This seems like an obvious point, but you would be surprised at how many college students book the first spring break trip they come across on the internet. It really pays to spend some quality time researching. Weigh all your options before you commit to one spring break package. Don't be stuck with a non-refundable deposit you can't get out of.

Last, look for great incentives. Some spring break packages include free summer trips if you book with one particular agency. They will also usually offer group discounts or cash back if you have 12 or more people traveling with you. It's important to note that only one person should book the trip for the entire group. Student groups often receive incorrect information from their group leader. This can lead to date and accommodation errors if more than one person communicates with the travel agent.

The key is to get started early for spring break 2009. Most packages are sold out by October 15th each year. Yes, that is six months in advance. Only New Years packages sell out quicker. If you wait to long to decide you will most likely be stuck with the hotel or destination that nobody wanted. Plan early, research early, and talk to your friends.
