There are many factors involved in choosing a wall clock for a particular room. Once you have weighed in all the deciding factors, you will come to the conclusion on exactly what type of wall clock will be the perfect match for the room.

The first on our list of deciding factors is what room will this new wall clock be hung in. You certainly don’t want to put a kitchen clock in the living room, dining room or home office. You can see that the wrong clock can have a major damaging effect on the total theme or style of a particular room. Then again, a brightly lit neon light logo clock might go perfectly on a wall in your recreation room. Whether it’s a Cuckoo clock or a pendulum clock with chimes, always match the wall clock with the décor or theme of the room in which you will hanging the new clock.

After you know the room in which you want to hang the wall clock, the next thing you do is figure out size. With a ruler, measure the size of the area of wall space you would like your new wall clock to take up. Since wall clocks come in all shapes and sizes, measuring wall clock space will give you a good idea of the size and shape you would like your new clock to be.

Now that you know the room your new clock is going in and the approximate size of your new clock, the next step is to determine if you want an analog or digital wall clock. Analog, of course, having hands that move around pointing to numbers or markings on the face of the clock. Digital, having actual numerical digits telling you the time of day. You may also want a wall clock that also gives you weather information such as temperature, humidity, barometer indicating weather conditions.

For those of you who have special interests such as sports, beverage or the personal touch of having something custom imprinted on the face of your wall clock, there are companies that will put any picture on the face of your wall clock if you are willing to let them do the work for you.

This brings me to another deciding factor, cost. If you are cost conscious, a wall clock can be inexpensive or on the other hand a wall clock can be a major investment. This all depends on what you are looking for and the size of your budget. If you shop around you will find reasonably priced wall clocks that have the appearance of the much more expensive models.

If it is your desire to see samples of wall clocks up close and personal, there are not many brick and mortar stores that deal in just clocks. Although you might want to visit some home décor stores because many of them carry a variety of clocks.

Your best bet in finding a large variety of wall clocks in all styles, shapes, themes, added extras and colors is to go online. The Internet offers quite a few stores that deal in just clocks. Many furniture and home décor stores also have a good selection of wall clocks.

Everyone has a need to know the time of day. You can display the time of day in many different ways. With the large variety of wall clocks offered today, there must be a special time piece that will express the creativity and artful expressions in you.
