The pool at the Hotel Playa Pesquero is huge and kept very clean, with a pool bar at one end, a bridge across the middle, and plenty of sun beds around. The beach is private, the sea is beautiful, and very convenient for snorkelling. There are a number of beach activities to take part in for all the family, and a grill and bar right on the beach.

In terms of activities which is very essential on any luxury family vacation, it is true to say that just about anything goes. You can go cycling, play tennis, play pool, table tennis, squash, go kayaking, and whilst the list isn’t quite without limits, there’s more than enough for all the family.

An all inclusive family vacation needs an adequate amount of drink, and the Hotel Playa Pesquero is well supplied with bars, from the pool bar, the lobby, to the beach bar, and a beer garden.

There are five restaurants where you are limited to one meal per week, then there are two buffet restaurants where you eat breakfast. The choice of food is good, and you can have it cooked right in front of you. A bribe of a few dollars to the head waiter in an a la carte restaurant can do wonders for your ability to book, and a piece of advice is to book early.

The Romantic restaurant seems to be much the favourite amongst guests who do return here year after year.

When staying at the Hotel Playa Pesquero there are three essential trips, the first is Havana, the second is swimming with dolphins, and the third is the speedboat safari.

Finally remember the unseen members of staff like the gardeners. It is easy to tip room cleaners and waiters, but they do relatively well compared to the others. Gifts such as make up, and toiletries, pens and pencils are much appreciated.

The Hotel Playa Pesquero is a good all inclusive hotel, rated the top in Cuba, and despite its size, capable of giving you a great luxury all inclusive family vacation.
