Video used to be very uncommon on the internet. Now that households and businesses have faster speed connections, so many more social media options are enabled online. Video is becoming standard on most websites. This can only be advantageous to businesses trying to get their messages across to potential clients.

Of course, text is not dead nor is good copywriting at business landing pages. The major reason you would want to consider a video is the greater response rate. That is what any advertising page wants to achieve, an increased percentage in their conversion rate and a high level of overall response from web visitors at a business site.

Things move a lot faster in the virtual internet world than in the physical world. You will be left behind if you do not keep up to speed with even the basic of changes that are happening.

It is true that you may catch the lower end market and clients who are new to internet, those who possibly still have dial up connections. However, your higher end budget clients, without doubt, will have the latest technological equipment and absolutely expect the best when they explore online for services and products. Who do you most want to attract to your business product?

Having a video also enables you to be included into the more popular social media network places that are now almost all video based, allowing you to connect with compatible businesses or international and local customers in those communities.

Where possible, you will want your video listed at a landing page that has the ability to enable interested site visitors to contact you immediately and directly. An SMS link and a web link to your home page are ideal.

Video in and of itself, no longer holds that wow factor it used to. Therefore you want the ability to stand out from the crowd. One way to do that is to have your video hosted within a community that is already relevant to your market. If you look around, you can find a local video production team that also has a local business community directory, at which your professionally created video will be hosted. That will make it very easy for your target market to find you.

In addition, you will leverage from the higher end marketing activities in which a larger group can engage. Anything that they do to increase online visibility will flow through to benefit you with regard the amount of passing traffic. From that perspective, an online presence is not much different to a street front store, it is very much about the amount traffic.

Another factor is the rate of change happening online. If you have your site listed and hosted with a business video directory, then any new technological advances by that company will directly benefit you. There may also be opportunities provided by them, for upgrading your listings and services to ones that are more relevant to internet visitors when online trends shift.

This too is where video can support you greatly. Google and Yahoo love the fast moving new networks, based on the newest of technology. It views them as more relevant to online searchers, particularly if they are also geographically localized. Videos, in general, tend to be rated more highly and more often than not, are listed on page one of a topic search. Both those aspects are very much to your advantage.

Web stickiness is anything about a website that encourages a visitor to stay longer. It is incorporated as a measurement in Google and Yahoo algorithms, with regard deciding which sites have greater relevance for searchers. It is also a quite well established fact that most sales are emotionally based. The personal touch of a human face on video does that so much better than pages of text. The longer you are able to keep your visitor engaged at your site, the greater the chance they will take action, and the more Google or Yahoo will register your site as relevant in your niche.

Most visitors to your site come with an agenda. They will have a question they want answered, a product to purchase, or information they need. A good video on your site will help them do that, quickly and easily. People have short attention spans and this extends to our experience online, so cater to your clients with an effective, professional video.
