This allows you to sit in the drivers seat more than usual and rewards you the more work you are willing to put in. Being self-sufficient in this way is always good to talk about in a job interview as well and shows the recruiter that you are a quick learner and will not constantly need direction in your work. This is a highly valued characteristic in the business world, as many people require constant monitoring. Having an employee that works well on his own when needed allows others to get their own work done without having to check up on their employees all the time.

An internship will allow you more freedom in attending college. You may not have financial freedom just yet, but many internships allow students to attend college and get the education they deserve. College tuition prices are a barrier to many qualified individuals that many fail to overcome. A college internship will help to relieve some of this burden and students will not only be given the opportunity to attend classes, but also gain real world experience in the process.
