Turkey is large and has so many places you could spend some time. If you make the itinerary to include traveling around Turkey to other cities, your holiday to Turkey will allow you to see more and do more things. All you need is two weeks to see so much of Turkey. Plan to stop at Kas for day, Bergama for a day and Van for day. Plan two or three days in Istanbul and two days in Fethiye. You can end your trip in Istanbul and spend even more time before heading back home. You will be impressed with travel plans like these.

Your first stop could be Istanbul since you have the airport right there. Spend a day or two to relax from the flight. Relax by the pool and see some of the attractions nearby the hotel. There are some fine restaurants and little shops to visit before you leave for you next location, which could be Kas. Walk around the Kas areas and see the history of the village. Take a walk on the boardwalk by the Kalekoy Harbour. This is a popular area with visitors. Then you can move onto Bergama to see the ancient ruins of Pergamum. You can also visit the Bergama Museum and the Archaeology Museum.

Then you could travel to Van to see the ancient ruins of the Rock of Van. The castles are another attraction to see. The castles are the Hosap and Van castles. They are historical and have so much history surrounding the area where they stand. Visit Akdamar Island where you will see the monastery ruins and the Church of Holy Cross. The area is so historical that you will want to take many pictures. It is easy to spend a day in Van, but some people like to stay an extra day to explore other areas not common to visitors.

In Fethiye, you can do some paragliding or visit the ghost town of Karmylassos. This is a different type of place to see. You can spend some time walking on the beach and glaze out over the sea. Then visit Yaka Park where you can dine in the restaurant and see the watermill and even play with the fish. Then you can select the fish you want for dinner. The historic village of Downtown Fethiye is beautiful to see. You can walk around the streets and see how things were back in the days.

End your trip back in Istanbul and spend a few days seeing more attractions before you leave. You can visit the Topkapi Palace and the Hagia Sophia Museum. Since you will be in the Sultanahmet District, you should take some time to walk around the streets and see how the area looks and how people live. You will have a great time visiting the different areas of Istanbul. You will never be without anything to do.

Cheap holidays to Turkey will not be complete until you do a little shopping and see some of the town at night. When the sun goes down, the lights come on and Istanbul turns into a glamorous city of lights. You will enjoy the warm breezy nights and the sounds of music in the air. Everyone relaxes after dark and waits for the sounds in the night to die down before retiring for the night. On your way to the airport, you might even want to stop by the markets on the street to find something to read or even eat on your flight home.
