To change the password for you need to simply login using the administrator account. Go to the control panel -> user accounts, there you can change or create a password for any account. To change the password, you have to specify the old and the new password in the appropriate boxes.

After setting a password, you can make your folders private, so that no other user can see your private information even if they login into the same computer.
