How to Plan a Party With Birthday Party Balloons

Party planning is something wonderful, so wonderful that some even make a career of it, in case you haven't heard of party planners. But you don't need one if you have a little know-how; you would almost feel that you are a party planner yourself. And you could be, on a small scale. Maybe the first thing you need to do is to get a little more familiar with the most used decoration; birthday party balloons.

Seriously though, there are more than birthday party balloons in planning a party. But of course, since you are no professional party planner, it depends on how special you want to make of the event, and on how creative or resourceful are you. Here is a little guide on party planning:

1. Decide on the theme

2. Create a check-list of party supplies to buy

3. Write down what decorations you want to have

4. Think of some games that you will hold, and what items these will require

5. Put down any other extra items to have (for more fun)

Deciding on the theme does not depend on you but your child. With the practically endless themes available, this should be easy, probably the easiest part.

When the theme is decided on, all you have to do is to purchase a package of party supplies in that theme. Alternatively, find out what packages are out there and decide the theme from there. The priority does not matter as much as your child's particular fancies. These party supplies are aptly paper plates and cups, cutleries, serviettes, table-cloth, party hats and such. When you have completed step two, you have pretty much completed about 50% of the work.

Printed latex balloons are indispensable when it comes to decoration. We always like something pretty and easy. Well, balloons do not require much creativity to make everything look good. But if you want to make it prettier still, go for character foil balloons. These character foil balloons must be in accordance to the chosen theme of course.

If you are planning for a first birthday, do remember to get first birthday foil balloons. Your little one may not be able to properly verbalize his pleasure or appreciation, but he will surely feel special with the fuss made for him. It is a good start for the soon-to-be toddler. You can't help but feel good as well. After all, this is his very first birthday.

And then there are religious themed foil balloons. Again, you will find foil balloons in a variety of colors and even shapes. That is why they are definitely more special than the regular latex balloons. You may not be able to afford your balloons all in foil, but surely you can get some foil ones.

There are other decorations that you can have but by now, you would have about 70% of the planning done. Some decorations that you can have are centre-pieces for instance. If the theme is Barbie related, it is easy to get a Barbie doll for a centre-piece. You could even buy a birthday Barbie doll. Sometimes, these Barbie gift boxes come with accessories such as a tiara for the child. Now she can be a princess. Buying a new Barbie doll is not entirely necessary, maybe all you need is to put her in a gown. You could print out something from the internet to complement this décor.

When it comes to games, you may want to brainstorm with your child if she learnt anything in preschool. You have to have games that the children will understand how to play. Try out with your child first. You can have prizes too. Children aren't greedy, they just like to be surprised with some pleasantries such as presents.

You may want to include some other items that you consider extras such as costumes, confetti and piñatas. Pinatas can be included into the games section and these definitely require prizes, tiny ones in fact; small enough to fit into the balloons that you will probably use for this. You could have little puzzles, mini story-books, games, etc. for prizes. It is the fun that matters.

As you plan, you find that you get more and more ideas. This is where the fun comes in. Don't be a spoil sport and grumble on the cost. It is up to you to be resourceful and creative. A higher cost does not mean more fun, if you think about it.
