Majorca was at one point the love child of the jet set of Europe. Visited by royalty and a veritable Who’s Who list of celebrities, this inimitable isle had and still has much to offer. Of course the offerings of Majorca do border on the chic despite the fact that the present day traveller would be a young couple desiring to dance the night away. Besides an enviable culture and a heritage, Majorca offers luxurious and inimitable hotels fit for royalty. Of course there is more substance to Majorca, especially when it comes to sports such as golf.

Golfing in Majorca has its roots far back into the 1960s. And ever since then, this famous island has readily and enthusiastically embraced this famed sport by consequently adding many a golf course onto its already vast repertoire. Of course at this point it would be prudent to mention that Hotels in Majorca cater to this well loved sport as well.

One of the main facilities in most hotels is that they do cater to the golfing enthusiast who has travelled into Majorca in order to spend the entire day playing golf. Hotels do have discounted access to some golf courses throughout this destination; however it would be well advisable that travellers into Majorca do their own individual web reference when it comes to finding out the best hotel that would conveniently offer nearby proximity to a golf course.

On the last recorded count there are 15 golf courses at present in Majorca. However, based on some unconfirmed estimates there are in excess of 18 golf courses. Yet one is truly assured of a golfing expedition unlike any other. It is assuring to note that nearly all the 15 and above golf courses present in the island of Majorca are rather dissimilar to each other. This goes a long way when it comes to being favoured as the ideal destination for a golfing holiday.

All golf courses in the island of Majorca are very well served and maintained to truly international standards, so much so there are many other countries that would be substandard in comparison to the attention to detail that is paid for the Majorcan golf courses.

As the focus on quality would have it, it is very possible to actually enjoy your very own “professional” golf tournament where Majorca hotels and certain resorts along with quite a number of golf courses are more than happy to organize a professional game for an entourage of your companions. It could even be organized for a team of different holiday golfers from other hotels in the region.

Besides being able to play a global sport with state of the art facilities and undeniable attention to detail, travellers to Majorca are sure to meet and make a social network that is sure to last a lifetime. What better way to socialise than to make friends while playing a sport that is common to all?

Take it from the people who have travelled to Majorca for an undiluted holiday based solely on golf – It is a chance of a lifetime! Not only will you be able to tee off with quality players, you could get professional lessons from world class players. There are even golfing schools that are sure to give you a boost of confidence in perfecting your swing if needed. Either way, Majorca is sure to make golfing an undeniable adventure.
