On the other hand, if you see a niche in an area that already has hotels but may not be offering consumers what they need or want (for example, a discount motel), you could be very successful opening your franchise next to other hotels, if the area is a destination for travelers or businesspeople. If you are confident in your knowledge of the market and industry, there is a good chance that your franchise will be able to grow without as much support needed from the hotel company.
