Making Money With Paid Surveys – Are They the Real Deal?

Paid surveys, we’ve all heard of them from one way or another; whether it’s an annoying pop-up or an email claiming you can make a few hundred dollars an hour just by filling out surveys they have an undeniable presence in the internet today.

Unfortunately however, because of these ridiculous claims made by spam emails and pop-up’s most people instantly assume it’s a scam. Like the old saying goes; “If it Sounds too Good to be True... It Probably is,” the same applies hear in the paid survey industry – I can tell you now you CAN’T make $100/hour filling out paid surveys, and they WILL NOT make you filthy rich. But there are some legitimate paid survey companies out there; but they are tangled under a nest of scam sites. These sites are entirely free to join, but will not pay you ridiculous sums of money.

Legitimate market research companies typically pay $0.25 - $6 per survey completed (these surveys typically take 5 – 30 minutes to complete), and although they won’t make you rich, if you are willing to put in the time each day it’s surprising how this money begin to stack up. Generally people who take paid surveys are making around $100 - $200 a month (spending 15 – 30 minutes a day) which isn’t bad for the amount of time it takes them.

So if you’re considering joining a Paid Survey Panel make sure you do your research about the site first to make sure it’s legitimate, and remember: NEVER pay a fee to join a Panel – they should be paying you, not the other way round. All sites claiming “Make $100/hour, just pay our simple one-off signup fee,” are scams. I would suggest you do some you do a few searches on Google and try to find some payment proof and independent customer reviews.

When looking for a paid survey sites that really pays you need to take a lot of different factors into account: the first thing to note is your country of residence; nowadays most Paid Survey Companies are very picky towards this, and although some sites allow international members if you are not from USA, UK, Canada or Australia you won’t be getting many surveys to complete (but don’t worry – there are a few exceptions).

The next thing to note is what the surveys will be about; sometimes it is better to join a panel that has interesting surveys even if they pay a little less, because spending 30 minutes a day on repetitious surveys can get very tedious, hence try to find a panel with a great range of survey topics to keep you on your feet, or one that specializes in a topic that genuinely interests you.

There isn’t a lot more to learn about taking online surveys, but at first a lot of people are a bit confused as to how Survey Sites can afford to pay you, when in reality the whole concept on is actually very simple: large corporations are always looking for ways to improve their products and design a product that a consumers actually want, hence these corporations are willing to spend money towards getting the consumer’s opinions, and they do this by paying a premium to market research companies (paid survey sites) who construct surveys to obtain this information. And in order to get people to fill out these surveys they pay some of this money onto us; the consumer. It’s really a slick deal for everyone involved.

Overall although Paid Surveys won’t make you enough to live off, they are an excellent way to earn a little extra cash in your spare time, just be wary of the vast number of scam sites out there. So just do a little research, and it really won’t be hard to find a well paying Survey Panel that is perfect for you!
