In addition to operating costs there may also be extra expenses needed to get the business up and running; creating business cards to establish a business identity for example.

Keeping a detailed and realistic schedule that allows time for education, marketing, research, building a strong professional network as well as the business's infrastructure help the savvy at-home business person keep pace to achieving their goals. And when those goals are achieved the satisfaction is that much sweeter because it is the result of the individual's own hard work and dedication.
