Someone entering into the world of business should toughen themselves early own as it is a highly competitive sector to be in. While things might not be at cutthroat edge, but the tight market situation coupled with the huge and seemingly endless variety of choices for every single item means that one can either sell on prices or innovation. The former is by far the easier route to choose as everybody (except for high end customers) are almost all looking for good value in their purchases, but it is also a route fraught with dangers to sustainability of the business with small and tightening margin levels.

A firm example of this would be in the recent surge of the low cost net book. While sales roared, profits did not increase incrementally as these items are invariably faced with very tight and highly price-sensitive manufacturing requirements to enable them to achieve the pricing levels which they eventually sell. It is the same with entry level automobiles, especially when these are expected to be price as bargain basement budget offerings while still retaining acceptable levels of quality. The thing that has to be remembered is that quality is highly subjective subject and what manufacturers normally deemed as good enough will be regarded as something else by the consumers. Get the equation right and you are assured of both good sales as well as profits.

The second route of innovation is a better way in that you will have little in competition and as such can price your items at such levels that profits can be made even if the volume of sales is not that good. It need not be a totally new idea and product but perhaps a different way of doing the same things. The only thing about this route is that people are normally fearful of changes and would love for everything to stay just the way they are. The important factor to consider here would be the marketing aspect of the new innovation; to tell potential customer the advances that you have incorporated in your product that would make their lives easier et cetera.

One such avenue for such promotion of new innovation is trade shows. There are sometimes specific trade shows catering for innovations, but these are relatively scarce, thus the better bet would be the many regular trade exhibitions held normally at shopping malls and hyper markets a few times every year. These exhibitions offer not only the opportunity to promote your product but also ready potential customers who normally throngs such venues no matter what the occasion. Unlike the highly specialized trade shows held at halls, those held at shopping malls sometimes pushes the setting up of the respective trade show truss booths to the exhibitors themselves; a proposition that has the advantage that you would be able to stand out from the others.

The many trade shows around also means that there are a good number of variety in trade show truss systems to cater for almost every budget, product and business sizes, and these exhibition can sometimes be rented instead of purchased. Gone also are the days when you would need carpenters to set them up with many manufacturers innovating their own products with the specific objective of fulfilling the functionality in ease of assembly. Unlike convention truss systems, those catering for trade shows often come in simpler forms, with special consideration of mobility, flexibility in structure as well as size - manageable is best - to go with the small businesses in mind.

That said, it is normal however for manufacturers to adopt the 10' Trade Show Exhibits standards as regard the height of such booths; the reason being that said height is optimum in allowing for ample exhibition space and the allocation of areas for hanging buntings, banners and whatever marketing items an exhibitor might have with them. Setting these up is no different that you might think a smaller one, though, with many of the new trade show truss having done away with the need to have screws. Joints are constructed in such a way that they just snap into position securely. Setting up a standard size booth would take less than half a day with breaks to boot for a completed trade show exhibition booths.

Once your booth is set up for the big day, the ball is then in your court to do the best in promoting your product and innovations. Don't worry about having to bring in the crowds as there are plenty whenever these trade shows and exhibition comes to town.
