Multilevel marketing, or MLM, is the foundation of any good direct sales business, be it in person going door to door, or selling on the Internet. It is important that you build up a good sales force, people that work under your supervision to help not only their own business grow, but yours as well. In order to do that, you must be personable, a good communicator, and have all the tools at your fingertips to get the job done and bring people in to you. There are many tools and resources available online to help you in your efforts at MLM recruiting.

MLM Legal is a comprehensive website devoted to MLM businesses, laws that surround it and some good old fashioned advice for those people who are involved in successful direct sales businesses. Operated and maintained by Jeffrey Babener, a lawyer, this site includes a law library, MLM recruiting tips, free MLM start-up manuals, news in the business, an international section and other useful information that anyone can access, read, and put to good use.

The website also offers some well-written articles that give tips and techniques for MLM recruiting. ‘MLM Presentations: 27 Secrets to Success’ outlines and describes the importance of having a good marketing and recruiting strategy and how presentations of the product, the mother company, and your own successes are excellent marketing tools. ‘MLM Recruiting and Communication’ is an article all about how networkers need to get there sales presentation to as many people as possible and how to do it.

The third article, ‘MLM Recruiting Using Affinity Plans’, discusses how you can locate affinity groups – such as churches, schools, charities, and other non-profit organizations – to get them to look at your product and maybe even use some of them for fundraisers. And finally, ‘MLM Recruiting Machines’ tells you how to build leads and a successful downline using both tried and true methods and some that haven’t been attempted yet.

Each of these links has been reviewed by MLM Legal in order to give you the best tools you can find to recruit and promote your direct selling business and build your downline. The website does not endorse the other sites on their list and still reminds users to thoroughly research each one as they review them for themselves.

There is no doubt that marketing and recruiting is the toughest aspect of a home party plan business or direct selling venture. Attracting new recruits takes patience, time, and a little creativity on your part. You want to use presentations that are not only interesting and informative but also eye-catching.

You need to build a large contact list and slowly work your way through it without seeming like you’re pestering or ‘spamming’ someone. Laying out your product in an appealing way or being able to provide samples are also tricks that draw people in and make them more interested in becoming a part of your group. MLM recruiting is only limited by your own creativity and imagination.
