The subject of buying MLM leads is a very hot one in the circles of network marketers as there are two opposing views when it comes to building your home based business on them. Some claim that there are totally worthless as in the best case you buy oversold leads several weeks or months old that everyone in MLM and his neighbor have contacted them. On the other hand there are those that claim that they have found success by purchasing them and managed to build a big downline in their multilevel marketing company thanks to them.

So what is the best route for someone to go. Start buying network marketing leads or learn how to generate them on his own?

The obvious answer if someone knows how to generate his own leads is that he doesn't need to bother buying ones for his home business, as it is doubtful if he can get the same quality for the same amount of money he spends on lead generation. Even if there are sellers that can offer him better quality in competitive prices, they are seldom and he would be needed to go through a long period of trial and error in order to find them.

But what about those marketers that don't know how to generate MLM leads and find it hard to learn how to do it?

Well, while the best advice would be to keep learning until they know how generate their own, there can be some advantages if they go the route of purchasing network marketing leads. First, they could start building their business from the beginning while still at the learning phase. Second, probably in their case inaction at their first months could cost them more money than paying for even overpriced leads. But you should be careful of what you are buying of and from whom.

Of course that is easier said than done. With so many sellers out there that someone should avoid it's hard to tell who can someone trust for buying. In that case the best route is to ask your sponsor. There is a good chance that he or someone in his upline are buying MM leads so he can recommend to you a trusted vendor that can supply you with quality ones.

Another point you should consider is that of buying what are called real time leads. These are considered the best ones and the vendor gives them to you the instant he generates them. It is much more effective to contact prospects the same day they requested more info on an MLM opportunity than to wait for a few days or weeks. Conversion rates are much higher in that case. If you are to purchase non real-time leads you are losing this advantage.

As you can see there isn't all black or white when it comes to buying leads and there are cases that it may make economic sense to you to follow that route, especially when you begin your network marketing career. Of course that doesn't mean that you should abandon learning lead generation techniques as the ones you produce yourself, once you learn how, is of the best quality and come at the cheapest price. But in the short-term if you have good recommendations and you choose wisely the seller it can help you give a quick boost to your MLM business.

So get some recommendations and start testing your results to see if it makes economic sense to you the use of MLM leads in building your network marketing home business. Nothing can replace your personal experimentation on this.
