Situated in the south of the island, Limassol is the second largest town in Cyprus. Nestling beneath the Troodos Mountains, the town has grown in popularity not only with tourists, but also for people interested in purchasing Limassol property. The town is one of the main hubs for businesses but also has an historic beauty and charm of its own. There are many reasons why Limassol is the hot place to buy property right now. Well-positioned for access to many of the best beaches on the island, there is an interesting mix of cosmopolitan culture, castles, archaeological sites and energetic nightlife.

Buying real estate in Cyprus is relatively easy compared to overseas buying in other countries. There are many kinds of freehold properties both in and around the town, including villas, apartments and houses. There are a wide variety of landscapes in the area, so you have a good choice of where you would like your home to be located. Searching for Limassol property is quite straightforward. There are many agencies and plenty of luxury properties to see, and buying rather then renting means that (subject to planning permission) you can develop a property to add that personal touch. The choice of available property includes everything from new luxury developments and property that can be renovated for resale. Many villas have their own private swimming pools, while being elevated over the town so that you still get those unbeatable sea views. With penthouses in new projects such as The Mediterranean Palace, you can get the very best in urban living, all with sea views, and first class hotel facilities including swimming pools, Jacuzzis, gardens and BBQ areas.

With a steady visitor presence in the winter months too, Limassol always has an enthusiastic and lively atmosphere. You can go diving to see spectacular wrecks and sea life. With the clear Mediterranean water offering perfect diving conditions, you will have no trouble in improving your diving skills and getting to know the area both underwater and out of water.

If you enjoy eating out then there is an abundance of places to go to that offer everything from exquisite fish dishes to places that will prepare excellent vegetarian dishes. With generous portions and reasonable prices, many people get excited about eating out in Limassol. Being on the eastern Mediterranean coast means that the weather is perfect for eating al fresco. Limassol has many local vineyards and the annual wine festival brings together the very best in local wines for you to sample and enjoy. The local vineyards also offer tours, again with the added bonus of free samples of their wares. Limassol has a 10-day carnival, with a host of celebrations including masked balls, parties and beautiful parades. Both locals and tourists enjoy the nightlife on offer in the town. With such a range, whatever mood you or your visitors are in you can choose from a variety of inns and bars where there are places to sit outside or dance inside.

With plenty of bus and taxi services available, it’s easy to get around in Limassol. You can access areas all over the island to see the sights and go shopping in many quaint boutiques. With the development of Limassol Marina offering luxury apartments and villas on the seafront, this exclusive and vibrant resort is a must when looking for your perfect Limassol property.
