Some of the most successful promotional items are items that you would probably never think of people needing on a regular basis. Think of this: Have you ever been travelling in your car and relied on a map to get you to your destination? Have you ever wondered how far away you were, but could not figure it out with the distance meter provided in the map’s legend? If you couldn’t figure it out, don’t worry because not many people can. It is almost impossible to figure out distance when measuring with your fingers. That is why map measurers exist, but many people don’t realize they have access to such a useful tool. That is why investing in promotional map measurers is a smart move. People need them. They just don’t realize they need them until they can actually see how useful they are.

Yes, it is useful

You may hand a person one of your many promotional map measurers and they will say to themselves, “What am I going to do with this?” They may think that when they receive it, but as soon as plans are made for a road trip, they’re going to be taking it and using it. While using it, they’re going to say, “I can’t believe this little thing came in so handy. I’m glad XYZ Company gave this to me.” So what happens is that person remembers it was your company that gave them this useful tool and they’re also going to be reminded because you have your business logo and contact information printed on your promotional map measurers. You did that because you’re smart.

Believe it or not, there are companies that give away items but do not print their company information on them. This is more or less like crossing your fingers and hoping that all of the people you distribute to remember where they got it from. A year down the road they’re going to ask, “Where did I get this?” The companies that do this may be able to remember things like that, but the average person has a lot on their mind, so personalising your promotional map measurers is how you’re going to remind them. Every single time they travel they will see your logo right in front of them as they use their map measurer to measure the distance from point A to point B.

Who do you give them to?

It is up to you who you want to distribute your promotional map measurers to. They are so incredibly affordable that you can give them to everyone or maybe put an ad in your local newspaper that says, “First 100 people through the door receives a free map measurer” or “First 100 purchases receive a free map measurer.” You can use your imagination as to how you want to do it. This is because every business has a different budget. One business might be able to give a free gift to everyone, but another can only give a free gift away to a certain amount of people. How many you purchase and give away depends on your budget, but you must also take into consideration what kind of return you’re looking for.
