For anyone looking for a reliable and affordable program to develop a healthy body of the desired shape and strength, the options available through the media are overwhelming. So how do you go about finding the program that best suits your needs at an affordable cost? The following steps will guide you to the right choice.

1. Identify your needs:

You should be clear in your mind whether you want to lose weight, burn excess fat, build strong muscular bodies, just follow a simple fitness program etc. If necessary, due to any uncommon physical, medical or mental health conditions, or, past experiences with weight loss programs, seek professional help even to complete this step . This will simplify your task of attaining your fitness goals greatly.

2. Lay Down Your Fitness Goals With Absolute Clarity.

Once you have determined what kind of fitness program your body requires, set some practical goals for you to achieve in a reasonable period. Set realistic goals for you to lose, say, 5 lbs in 3 months, working out for 15-20 minutes daily, for five days in a week and within a budget of $120. These figures are just examples. Again what you desire to achieve within a certain period may depend on several conditions. You will have to revise your goals as you go long with your chosen program.

3. Collect Data About The Programs Available.

Determine in which category your desired program falls. It could be fat burning, body building, muscle toning, weight loss etc. Next, select around 8 programs, which are closest to your needs, from the large number of advertisements in the media. Contact each of them and get offers from them for your fitness or body building program. Enter the details in a tabular form so that you can compare them easily. Do some research and try to get more information about the programs and the persons/companies which offer them so that you can weed out the unsuitable ones more easily.

4. Revise Your Goals If Necessary.

Now that you have the data about some select programs available in the market, that meet your expectations, you will have to do detailed analysis of the facts you have gathered. Based on your analysis, you should spell out the final specifications of the program you are going to invest your time and money in. Broadly, the specifications will cover the following:

a. The details of the program that will help you to achieve your Fitness goals b. Time you are ready to invest every week c. Time duration to achieve desired results d. Total Cost of the program e. Certification of the company/trainer by appropriate agencies

You have to next redefine your goals based on the information you have collected. You may have to make changes to the budget, time duration and the nature of results to be expected at the end of the program or a combination of any of these. Make sure the changes you are required to make are marginal; otherwise repeat the exercise with another set of fitness programs.

5. Making The Final Selection

This is the most important step in this sequence of steps for your success. Take your time, get all the advice and guidance you can, check the reputations of the parties who have quoted, through your contacts and get testimonials. List down all these data in a tabular form, as you did earlier when you received the quotes. Combine both these tables and you will have a very informative chart, that will make your decision making fairly easy.

Short list 3 or 4 parties from the above list, contact them and have a discussions with them on all matters. Where possible visit them and check the facilities available with them. Try to squeeze the best price without compromising your primary needs. Ask for free support, training and consultations. You may get at least one of these. But, do try and who knows, you may be surprised when part of your demands are met. Now select the best one from these 3 or 4 offers.

6. Begin Your March To A Great Healthy And Fit Body!

Develop a road map for your success, jointly with the supplier of the fitness program. Specify the milestones clearly and arrange to have periodic reviews. Get their contact information so that you don't get stuck up any time for want of proper help.

Don't Forget! Inform your Doctor the kind of schedule you will be undertaking during the coming days. He may have some advice to offer which you will do well to follow for your own benefit.
