The summer is slowly falling behind and life has already resumed its pace. Someone will start to wonder where to spend new year's eve. There are many ideas to spend a fun New Year. There are good occasions throughout Italy and the rest of the world. It is not conveniente to wait until the last minute if you intend to leave or to book an evening in a restaurant.

Those who come to Italy have many options. From Valle d'Aosta to Sicily appointments and New Year's Eve celebration to start the new year participating in a party. The new year may be a pleasant occasion, other than to have fun with friends and / or relatives, to visit new places.

Italy is so rich in beauty and treasures of all kinds that everywhere you decide to go there will certainly be much to be seen.

A good idea would be to spend the New Year's Eve in Sicily. Going around the island there are so many appointments and events to enjoy one of the most awaited events of the year.

We have to choose as destination of our holidays in Sicily and take this opportunity to know part of this land so full of attractions. The cities of Palermo and Catania are the largest of the island and also those that offer the most during the New Year.

There are many other beautiful localities to see and where to live the best year-end festivities. The islands of the various archipelagos around Sicily could be the ideal frames for a relaxing and intimate New Year's Eve. Palermo is an extraordinary mix of cultural expressions with a harmonious fusion of architectural styles: Byzantine, Arab, Norman and baroque.

The city in New Year's Eve is always full of energy. A recommended appointment in Palermo is to spend the evening in the Politeama square, where every year there are organized concerts and it is possible to eat and drink for free. Catania is an explosive city near his life companion, the Etna. It is lively all year round for the presence of many young people and university students as well as many nightclubs. The evening of New Year's Eve is very long and amusing.

Sardinia prepares itself each year in the best possible way for this special event. There is no other perfect time such as New Year to have an unforgettable holiday in Sardinia. Those who want to spend the New Year's Eve in Sardinia have wide range of appointments to choose from.

The night of December 31 crosses the island, as usual, with banquets, dances and music wating for midnight to explode in festivals and fireworks. There are New Year's Eve parties scattered throughout Sardinia offering many opportunities to enjoy this magical night in the most beautiful and amusing ways.

All towns and cities organize their own party, taking to the streets all kinds of performances to live with their inhabitants and tourists an unforgettable night full of fun and emotion. Among the scheduled events there are some not to be missed. Alghero's party is the main one in the island. It is very exciting. After dinner, mainly based on fish, many restaurants in the city center and the seafront continue with the celebrations of the night of December 31 till late at night in the streets and squares of the historic center and the port where there is usually a concert.

The whole city is full with dances, concerts and firework. Cagliari abandons the formula of a big concert in the square and gives room to art, music and entertainment in a wandering path that unwinds in the historical streets and characteristic small squares (Piazza Yenne, Piazzetta Savoia, Constitution Square, Bastion Saint Remy, Piazza Santa Croce, Piazza Carlo Alberto and Piazza San Domenico), where there will be theaters for open-air events with artists and musicians. Castelsardo, perched on a rugged promontory facing a fantastic sea, offers history and tradition to those who wish to celebrate the last day of the year there.

The piazza La Pianedda will be the stage of several concerts and performances that accompany the public during this long night of celebrations. Olbia entertains its guests with its musical and theatrical performances until midnight when from the port starts a fantastic fireworks game and great music.
Sassari welcomes in the beautiful setting of Piazza Italia a crowd of people who toast for the beginning of the year. There are many other places where you can have a special New Year's Eve in this land that loves to host and cuddle visitors all year round.
