While there are definitely more than 5 reasons why anyone should visit this tiny island on the edge of the Malaysian peninsula, this article has its limitation. My concentration has its limitation and if I am given the chance to rattle of, you might end up staring at a thesaurus of possibilities and you would not know where to start and you just get dazed and confused. Here isn’t a hundred, not ten but 5 main reasons why you should make Singapore your holiday destination.-, count them off as you stat to descend from your comfy flight aboard the Singapore airlines.

One – the food. You cannot say no to our food. We have taken the best from the rest of the world, added our own spicy touch and of course there is the staple food of traditional Malay food and fare. This is no gastronomic experience, but an explosion of flavours and colors that will surely increase your appetite and make you sleep a lot better. Where to start? Chicken rice, laska, mee siam, mee rebus, char kuay tiau .. .these are just some of the names that you will definitely remember as you travel from shop house to shophouse. Worlds like kopitiam and hawker centre are names for food houses that you will take back to the country of your origin and whenever you hear the name Singapore, your stomach will rumble and your tongue will literally combust!

Two – the hotels. From budget bargain one room hotels, backpackers inn in colorful streets to the pricy and swanky five star hotels all over Singapore. From room service to breakfast buffets all the way to the other end of the spectrum, floppy slippers and a quick walk to the local hawker centre for some local fare. The choice and the budget is really up to you. We have our own local brand of budget hotels all over Singapore and 5 star chains that will literally amaze you.

Three – the Singapore flyer. Built on the backbone of grandeur and an eye for the magnificent, the Singapore flyer boasts the largest flyer in the world at the currently. Daring to reach the sun and drenching you in the clouds, watch out for the birds as you get lifted higher and higher and higher in slow progression. The view is breathtaking and the entire Singapore skyline is there at your disposal.

Four – the cultures of Singapore have been swirling around in the atmosphere of the local island and produced a drink that is dynamic, eclectic and savoury to drink, rich with different flavours. City plannes have devided this island nation into its various ethnic enclaves and all you need is a quick taxi or bus ride to a location to immerse yourself in one of our cultures. Smoke sisha in arab street, enjoy a noodle meal in traditional setting or use your hands in any one of the shops in Little India and the Malay Village, the possibilities are endless.

Five – because you will definitely come back for more. That is a guarantee!
