This is easy and you can load the pictures directly onto a gallery site for purposes of printing the book. The other approach, less obvious but also pretty easy, involves scanning the objects. You can buy a simple but high quality flatbed scanner at any computer store very cheaply. The process of scanning is simple, and after you scan you basically have a digital photo of whatever you put on the scanner bed (the flat part where you put what you want copied).
