Socializing seems difficult for many people. Why? For someone, it would be a perfect opportunity for rejection. After all, if you say or do something stupid, it's very easy for another person to move on to someone else and simply quip he finds you uninteresting.

Meanwhile, other people are staples in social club events but deep within them lingers the feeling of nothingness and they frequently find themselves out of words.

Some people try to exude confidence despite actually feeling jittery and insecure inside. So, what’s one with zero sociability to do?

Engage in a social activity that interests you the most. There are hundreds of social clubs in CA that you can join. Whether it’s a single golf club or singles social club, explore the things that will make you feel good.
Going to social clubs can be intimidating at first because it’s natural for one to fear rejection.

Rejection is part of life and almost everyone has experienced it at one point in his life. However natural rejection is, you shouldn’t take it too personally and keep in mind that if someone rejects you, it has nothing to do with you but his or her preferences. You are equally entitled to reject others because of your likes and dislikes.

Being your true self is they key to socialization. Don't be afraid to express the real you. Even if you are feeling really down, remember that there's always something out there to smile about. A positive outlook will make people want to be around you.

Feel good about yourself by sticking to the rules of etiquette. Look your best and dress appropriately. This gives you the feeling of confidence and implies that there are things about you that are worth getting to know.

Start making friends by striking a conversation with the first person you meet in a social club in CA. As you build confidence, you can easily break the ice by spearheading an interesting discussion with other club members. When you feel more comfortable doing this, you’ll find yourself meeting more likable people and gaining fruitful friendships.

When you’re up for a conversation, talk about something that interests you. People are very interesting, so actively engage in a conversation. There are many things to talk about; small talk isn’t all that necessary - particularly because it can be painfully boring.

Listen to the person talking. Make an impression that you’re actively listening to what he’s saying. Also, react in a manner that won’t offend the speaker. People love explaining the things they know, so when you don’t know what someone is talking about don’t hesitate to ask. Don’t pretend you know everything so that people will gladly feed you with information.

Meanwhile, if you’re a homebody or a very busy person, there can be a more convenient way to socialize. With the advent of social networking sites like Facebook, Friendster and Myspace,, people can create genuine friendships with people who were initially complete strangers. Social networking sites have opened doors to a new level of acquaintanceship, where everybody is given the chance to meet people from all walks of life and develop a different level of intimacy.
