Before you even start to decorate your bathroom you should be considering what type of bathroom vanity you want to place in your bathroom? Why, because the mirror is the focal point of a room where most of the furniture has been predetermined by necessity and existing washroom fixtures. When redecorating the bathroom most people generally do not replace the shower, toilet, and sink, but simply work with what they have.

Moreover, these items cannot be rearranged, making your bathroom vanity the most important piece in your bathroom. People are aware that this is the item you have chosen by yourself, so you need to take special care in choosing a mirror that is going to represent the overall spirit of your house and the feeling you intend to convey to visitors.

After all, while you can decorate every room to the maximum, the bathroom is the obligatory stop for almost every house guest while the den and dining room may or may not be of use to them. Thus, it is this area of the house people are going to notice the most. Plus, obviously this is the room people will have the time to notice, since they are alone while they visit the restroom. Thus, since the bathroom vanity is the only big item you get to purchase; you want to make it the best you can.

Keep in mind that everyone checks themselves in the mirror while in the restroom. This is why even public restrooms have mirrors. Therefore, you can rest assured everyone is going to take a close look at your bathroom vanity while taking a close not of themselves. The two things that will catch their eyes are the size of the vanity and the trimming that holds it in place.

No matter what level of simplicity your bathroom holds, you never want to hang a plain sheet of glass in place as a bathroom vanity. Not only is this tacky, but it holds no physical spirit like the rest of the bathroom furniture. Bathrooms are hard to bring an obvious spirit to as it is, as there are only so many ways to dress up a toilet and shower, so do not sacrifice the one item that can speak volumes about your home and decorating touch.

Wood trimming is always nice for a bathroom vanity when the colors of the towels and blinds are hunter green or reds. Both popular colors for bathroom themes, the wood trimming brings a warm welcoming feeling to a room that most likely is already cold and sterile instead.

If you want the sleek and shiny look of your bathroom to come through with blue tones and bright fish decoration, (also common in bathrooms) you will want to choose a bathroom vanity that has silver or gold trimming to match the color scheme and the fixtures in your restroom. A lot can be said with your bathroom vanity, do not miss your opportunity to dress up the bathroom.
