Fuel efficient vehicles are the way of the future. Interestingly enough, Toyota has the majority of these fuel efficient vehicles taking charge of the fuel efficient and Hybrid car market. According to tests, these vehicles are ten of the most energy and fuel efficient vehicles – which decrease greenhouse gas emissions and save money at the pumps, giving the driver two satisfactions.

Honda Insight is a vehicle that has a 3 cylinder engine with a 1L vehicle. This vehicle has fuel costs as low as $400.00 per year with 60 miles to the gallon in the city and 66 miles to the gallon highway.
Toyota Prius has an engine size of 1.5 L and an automatic transmission. This 4 cylinder vehicle can be driven for an approximate price of $466.00 per year that gets 60 miles per gallon throughout normal city driving. The Prius has been popularized by green celebs, namely Leonardo Dicaprio and Cameron Diaz.

Honda Civic Hybrid is a 4 cylinder vehicle with a variable automatic transmission that receives 48 miles per gallon when driving in the city and comes with annual fuel costs of approximately $541.00.
Volkswagen Jetta, as well as the Beetle and the Golf are all very earth and wallet friendly choices of vehicles. With a five speed manual transmission, they get about 36 miles per gallon when driving in the city and 46 while driving on the highway.

Honda Civic has an engine size of 1.7 L and is a 4 cylinder 5 speed manual transmission. It gets 36 miles per gallon for city driving and 44 miles per gallon of highway driving.

The Toyota Echo can be driven for the costs of $651.00 per year. It comes with a five cylinder automatic transmission as has been rated one of the safest vehicles available on the market.

There are two versions of the Toyota Scion has a 1.8L engine with the XA getting a tad better fuel mileage and having a four cylinder engine, rather than the five cylinder engine in the XB.

Toyota Corolla is another 4 cylinder engine with a 5 speed manual transmission. It gets 32 miles per gallon in the city, and 40 outside of the city on the highway.

Toyota Scion XB has a 1.5L engine and a five-speed manual transmission – with 31 miles per gallon in the city, and 35 miles per gallon on the highway. It can be driven for about $770 per year.

Toyota Celica is a fuel efficient vehicle that comes at the cost of about fifty dollars a month for fuel. The four speed automatic transmission gets 29 miles per gallon in the city and thirty six miles per gallon while driving on the highway. With an engine size of 1.8L

There you have it, when shopping for a new vehicle that won’t break the bank when it comes to filling up choose one of these top ten vehicles. These vehicles are all practical choices, especially with the rising costs of the fuel and confusion within the economy – isn’t it about time that you had a vehicle that didn’t break the bank to drive?
