With the ongoing boom in the advertising industry the cost of advertising has gone up considerably. The big and rich companies pay large sums and then they take away the premium advertising slots on the TV as well as in the newspapers, etc. Due to the involvement of big companies the cost of advertising is going very high, and small and upcoming businesses are facing crunch situations. This has contributed to the big brands becoming even more famous and the small brands and local brands are unable to market them selves properly.

Many people are investing a lot of money in advertising as there is lot of scope for profit and revenue. Even new advertising firms are flourishing and striking it reach in this business. A lot of factors are taken into consideration before the final cost is estimated for that particular ad. TV commercials are the costliest ads and a good ad with a famous brand ambassador can cost about a million dollars. But companies are ready to invest such kind of money because the benefits and profits earned by attracting customers are even larger.

Advertising has become a very big industry and is full of glamour and showmanship. These factors have also caused the advertisings costs to sky rocket.

Making a TV commercial is not an easy job. Lot of people are involved as well as the sets and props are used. All this factors contribute and make TV commercials costlier than other ads.

- Concept and creators: These are people who provide the concept of the ad. Concept is very important for any ad to b successful. They design a concept for the ad that goes with the theme as well as the product that is being advertised.

- Brand ambassadors: Brand ambassadors are famous personalities who endorse as well as help you advertise your product. People are usually intimidated by such personalities and hence these people can be a key factor who can help you increase your popularity as well as sale.

- Length of the ad: When the ad is broadcasted on the TV channel, the length is counted in seconds. The cost of the ad is decided on per second basis, hence longer ads cost more. Also the popularity of the TV channel, the ratings, etc are considered before deciding the cost per second.

- Frequency: The cost of the ad also depends on the frequency of times that the ad will be broadcasted on the TV channel in the stipulated time frame.

- Timing: Ads that are broadcasted during hit programs or during prime time cost more as compared to ads that are broadcasted on other timings.

- Events: Ads that are broadcasted during live events like concert, matches, awards functions, etc are the costliest ads.

Other types of ads like news paper ad, hoardings, internet ads, radio ads, etc are comparatively cheaper than the TV ads.
